Beach Bunny level up's this summer with these advanced cuts and textures, all of which I would say are totally Coachella-worthy. I will definitely be purchasing the "Promiscious" suit (top photo) and a really good bikini wax on that note. I especially LOVE the Prada-esque crystal top and YES it is for sale, and not just some stylist's who throws it over a bikini to make us want to buy something that you cant buy... you know what I mean? I got a nice little post-christmas miracle this year. My all-time favorite shoe ever the Jeffrey Campbell Asti came back into my life. Unfortunately, the amazing shoe isn't made so well and the sole comes apart from the wedge heel after about a year of wear, so I had to retire my old pair when it was to late to replace them. That is until I walked into the Buffalo Exchange Phoenix and saw a new pristine pair on display behind the counter IN MY SIZE and for only $30!!!

Gather round fashionistas for another sample sale adventure story from your truly. It all started Saturday 12/4 at 7:00 am after a night of partying and only being able to pop out of bed for the sweet slew of sales ahead. My first stop was 7 for all mankind Sample Sale, I had struck big at the Joe's Jeans sample sale a month ago and although I'm not a huge fan of jeans I was hoping to score some of their fabulous jackets and basic tee's. Upon arrival at 8:00 am I spotted a line that was about 3 football fields long. After moving maybe 5 feet in the line after 20 mins opted to bail and attend my other sales. FAIL.

I decided next to drive towards Costa Mesa for the Tavik Sample Sale which to my surprise I was the only one there! They had a huge selection of samples and sizes just about every suit/cover-up from their spring/summer 2010 collection was there. Here's what I scored:

Bikini - $30

Cover-up - $15

Tavik should be having another sample sale sometime in June which makes more sense for buying swimwear so I'll def be going back!

Next up was my most anticipated sample sale the Brian Lichtenberg sale! Once again I was the only one there and was borderline hyperventilating at all the racks of amazing clothing. Anything from the past season's collections was there the only downside that you had to be very skinnnnny to most of the sizes left. Thankfully one of the girls helped me into the glove-like hooded sparkly dress (as worn by EVERYONE in hollywood Katy Perry, Kim Kardasian, Lindsay Lohan). Prices were more than fair considering I scored one of his $575 dresses for only $100. Check out the good below:

Great product idea, horrible name. Heel Condoms are a decoration for your stilettos that wraps over the heel and secures under your heel with a piece of elastic to hold the shoe dressing in place. If I could survive longer than 1 hour in heels I would definitely buy the feather pair especially when they are priced between $20-$40.

Vince Sample Sale:
I arrived at 6:30 to a MASSIVE line. While in line I overheard a woman who said she was the 8th person inside the sale because she got in line at 2:30 pm when the sale didn't even start until 5:00 pm. After about 30 minutes in line I arrived inside to a barren room. The clothing racks maybe had 5 ugly sweaters hanging on each one. Luckily I was able to grab a pair of the leather/suede leggings but they were slightly too big but other wise would have been a great find for only $100 compared to $895 retail price. I also found a sample mongolian fur jacket but the fit was a bit off and couldn't justify buying for $200. I asked one of employees if they were replenishing stock for todays sale (5pm-8pm tonight), but he said that was everything they brought from the warehouse. So I would not bother stopping by today.

This was a showroom sample sale so everything was hung up and organized it was great! However in exchange for no chaos the prices were a bit higher but still very fair. Definitely the brand of the sale was Seneca Rising as they had many samples available and many sizes as well it was also the cheapest of the brands.

I almost gasped in utter shock at how bizarre these shoes are. I mean I'm head over heels for the space age out-there stuff but then to make such a shoe in a retro color-way of putrid browns? I'm just confused. If I were JC (which i never will be cause that mans a genius and i love him even though I'm ranting about these momentarily) I would have made these all black and replaced the wood portion for the heel with a metal plate. Now there's a shoe! Hopefully he's listening and editing so I can add them to my collection, but if not I'll just wait until their on super mega clearance and modify with spray-paint and my roofing shingles.

Stumbed upong this brand when I was looking at Spanish Moss Vintage's Website, I had no idea they now sold new merchandise and had their own site versus their ebay vintage days. Good move on their part. They now have a sort of NastyGal vibe but more underground feel that is home to some small brands like For Love and Lemons featured above. Kind of obsessed.

On another note there have been some OUTRAGEOUS sample sales in LA recently and they don't seem to be stopping. Just last week at the Joe's Jeans Sample Sale all Leggings were $5 (They have a great Jegging I stocked up on 5 pairs in amazing prints and washes including leopard!) All shirts were $10 (I got several silk blouses and chambrays) and I even got 2 Leather Jackets for $20 (YES real efing leather for $20). I was told this sale only happens once a year but if you missed it mark your calenders for next year...

Went to Disneyland this weekend despite the rain and saw the new attraction ElecTRONica to promote the Tron Legacy movie coming out this December. The Hollywood Backlot section of California Adventure park turned into a dance club/rave with a DJ, lights, and Tron themed dancers and even a performance by LASERMAN (yes, laserman : see below). I alos got to see the exclusive 3-D trailer only shown at the park and the Tron Ladies really knocked my socks off - WHAT BABES! They were wearing the coolest future-tech outfits with pale skin and dark make-up. I really hope thats what the future looks like...

A whole Custo Barcelona outfit may be a little overboard, but just a touch is the perfect proportion to shine all summer long. I swear by these suits, I have one from 2009 and have been trying to find something that can compete but to no avail I have not. Sadly all the suits are out of the Custo retail stores for the rest of the season but check back in February, you wont be disappointed.

I can usually rely on ACNE to put out some to-die-for shoes, but I was a little underwhelmed when I saw these from the Spring 2011 show. I think the straps are hideous, the proportion, the placement, ect. HIDEOUS. But then I noticed that Christopher Kane also hopped on this strappy shoe disaster trend too, which got me thinking? Will the fashion world brainwash me to love this style come next April? Only time will tell...

After much thought I decided the easiest and most cost effective way to light-up my wardrobe was glowsticks. Glowsticks (Necklace kind work best)

Seam-ripper

1. Find the seam on the side-most part of the strap and rip 3-5 seams so you have a big enough gap to insert your glowsticks.

2. Insert your glowsticks inside the straps. I used the 3-part Necklace glowstick set and connected 2 of the pieces for the longer straps and just one for the small strap.

3. Voila! You're done.

NOTE:

If you're like me you probably may have cracked some of the glowstick while putting them inside your dress (and you definitely crack them when putting on the dress) So either put them in the dress and put on your dress right as your about to go out since the glow only lasts for 4-5 hours, or insert the glow sticks after the dress is on.

FINALLY! It's mine, the Skin Graft Leg Holster also known as part of Voyeur Nightclub's Work Uniform, thanks to amazing Haven Boutique in San Diego. I was a little confused as to whether I wear it on my hips or waist, so I wore it on my waist (seen above) but now looking back think it may be better on the hips as to not accentuate the thighs ;). I thought it was only appropriate to pose as Neo in the Matrix dodging bullets with my watergun. Now I just can't wait for the Shoulder Holsters to come in stock so I can buy up those too!!
